The MNVCA’s annual 4th of July Parade and Picnic is almost here!

Our theme this year is: WHY WE LOVE MONTE NIDO!

This year’s 4th of July picnic will include delicious BBQ meals and Ice Cream for purchase. The Annual Auction and Raffle is returning with many fun items. There will also be live games and activities for all ages. We are so excited to celebrate our community!

Parade Info

  • The theme this year is “Why We Love Monte Nido!”

    This year we're celebrating all the things that make our community special. From beautiful landscapes, dark skies, and wildlife, to its rich history and helpful neighbors, there's so much to love about Monte Nido. We invite everyone to participate and share your unique love for our neighborhood through your creative parade entries.

  • START TIME: The parade assembles at 10am and begins at 10:30am. Parade participants, please arrive at 9:30am
    LOCATION: Parade begins at the Edenwild Bridge

    IMPORTANT REMINDER:
    CHP will be closing roads for our parade on July 4th from 9:30am to 12pm on Cold Canyon Road between Aline Way and Piuma.

    Plan ahead if you live on Cold Canyon or the parade route (Edenwild bridge to Thornhill to 465 Cold Canyon). Please arrive by 9:30am

  • GENERAL PARADE SAFETY:
    •All riders (bicycles, motor scooters, equestrian) MUST wear helmets
    • Nothing may be thrown along the parade route, you may hand items (candy, trinkets, etc.) to spectators
    • Please keep children, animals, and vehicles a safe distance from horses
    • All dogs need to be leashed
    • Wait until the entire parade has completely passed by before making your way to the picnic location

Picnic Info

  • Time: The picnic will follow immediately after the parade at approximately 11am and last all day long.

    Place: Fleeman's Meadow. Follow the crowd walking over.

    Parking: There is no parking available at the meadow

  • FOOD: We're excited to offer a delicious selection of food and drinks at this year's Fourth of July picnic. From mouth-watering BBQ to sweet treats from the ice cream truck, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We're also proud to offer vegan BBQ options, ensuring everyone in our community can find something delicious to eat.  Pre-buy your food tickets!

    SEATING: Bring your own blanket or beach chair.

    ENTERTAINMENT: Live music, raffle, and games throughout the day.

  • The 4th of July picnic can only come together with the help of Monte Nido’s community members.  Volunteer to work the event with your friends and neighbors.  Click here to view the open roles.

  • Pets: Four legged family members (dog, horses etc) are more than welcome to join in the parade but the picnic is humans only.
